How do I hold a date at Quantock Lakes?
You can protect your date for 24 hours while you take some time to think. After the non-obligation 24hours you can confirm to release the date or confirm your wedding with us by placing a deposit payment of £1800.00.
What is the payment plan?
A deposit of £1800.00 up front to secure your date, then 50% of the balance to be paid 6 months before your wedding date and the next 50% 1 month before the big day.
Do you have a minimum number of guest?
Yes, we have a minimum requirement of 80 guests
Can I make changes to my booking after I’ve booked?
Your able to change your guest numbers and detail of your celebrations; however, we have a minimum requirement of 80 guests that must be paid for. Accommodation cannot be removed from your booking.
How many planning meetings do I have?
We will be in touch to schedule a 6-month planning meeting before your wedding and then another organised approx. 6 weeks before your big day.
What is included at Quantock lakes venue hire?
Exclusive use of Quantock Lakes wedding venue including the beautiful lakes and lawns for your wedding celebrations.
Cash and card bar fully stocked with a wide selection of Spirits, wines, champagne, cider and beer on tap and soft drinks.
Whatever the English weather has in store for you we have it covered with the fully heated or air conditioned Quantock Barn plus a large patio boasting views of the lakes and Quantock Hills. In the colder months we have beautiful snugs set up in front of our log burners and a fire pit outside for use all year round.

Dedicated time the day before with your wedding planner to set up your décor
We provide all crockery, glasses and cutlery. You would also use our chivari chairs for your ceremony and wedding breakfast.
A choice of round traditional tables or hand crafted rustic trestle tables with white linen tablecloths and napkins.
Can I bring in my own decorations?
Yes, you are very welcome to bring your own decoration as long as they do not cause any damage to the venue and grounds. We do ask that no items are hung or stuck to the walls. The planning team will help you the day before your wedding with setting up your decorations and working with any external suppliers who are setting up. For more complex decoration we have venue dressing suppliers we can put you in contact with.
Do you recommend local suppliers?
We like our couples to have flexibility in what suppliers they wish to use. We also have a list of amazing local wedding suppliers which we will share with you after you have booked or as a separate email, just after you have received your Wedding quote
Can we use confetti?
Yes you can use confetti as long as it is biodegradable
Is the venue wheelchair friendly?
Yes there is plenty of disabled access available, we also have disabled toilets available.
Is there Wi-Fi in the venue?
Yes wi-fi is available at Quantock Lakes.
Can I have fireworks?
Yes you are able to have fireworks at the venue. we have an exclusive relationship with sonic fireworks – to book directly call 01884 849222

Where can I have my ceremony?
Quantock Lakes boasts 2 licensed barns for you to choose from your civil ceremony, The Rustic barn and Quantock Barn.
How many guests can I invite to my ceremony?
We can hold a ceremony for up to 90 guests in the Rustic Barn and 160 guests in the Quantock Barn
Are the Registrars booked through Quantock lakes?
You will need to contact the registrars yourselves to book your wedding ceremony. The registrars only take a booking and payment from the couple themselves.

What Days can I get married at Quantock Lakes?
Saturdays are the most popular day to marry at Quantock Lakes with exclusive set up time allocated on a Friday. We also offer Tuesday and Thursday as an option too. We restrict the number of weddings each year so we can make sure the venue and accommodation is at its best and is available in good time for all of our couples.
What time should we get married?
We recommend a ceremony time of 13.30hrs. However, we are also very happy to work with you depending on your plans for the day.
Can I get married in a church and have our reception at Quantock lakes?
Yes you can. The church closest to the venue is Nether Stowey and forms part of the view of the Quantock Hills.
Do you provide Music for our ceremony?
Yes we provide music of your choice downloaded onto our Quantock Lakes iPad. However you may want to book live music for your ceremony the choice is yours. We recommend a walking into song, 3 signing the register and walking out song. We can also provide background music for your wedding reception and wedding breakfast or create your own playlist to use.
How do we organise food for our guests?
We work with a wonderful bespoke catering company called ‘Food4You’. Their fantastic wedding breakfast, canapes and evening food menus can be found here. You can choose what best suits your individuality and taste and we can organise the rest.
Can we bring our own drinks?
You are not able to bring your own drinks to Quantock Lakes and we do not offer corkage. We provide a wide range of acholic and soft drinks at our bar and offer reception drinks, toast drinks and wine service.
Can we bring in external catering?
No, Canapes, wedding breakfast and evening food are supplied through Food4You. With the exception of your cake we do not allow external catering.
Do you cater for all dietary requirements?
We understand that you or your guests may have dietary requirements and Food4You can cater for this.
Do you supply food tasting?
Private tasting appointments are available. The cost is £120 inclusive of VAT please let the planning team know if you would like an appointment as they are held on set days of the year.
What accommodation do you have at Quantock Lakes?
At Quantock lakes our accommodation includes a wedding village that has an outside hot tub and barbeque. The village sleeps 26 over 9 rooms and includes breakfast.
We also have a large self-catering Granary house which includes a private indoor swimming pool, has 9 bedrooms and sleeps up to 18 adults. Please note that additional cleaning and linen changes during your stay will incur an additional charge.
How many nights can we stay at Quantock lakes?
Most wedding parties stay for 2 nights (night before wedding and night of wedding). Accommodation cannot be removed from your booking once you have confirmed your booking.
What facilities are available at the accommodation?
The wedding village includes a Games room, BBQ area and outside hot tub.
The Granary house includes private indoor swimming pool, hot tub and BBQ lodge, pool table and children’s outdoor play equipment.
How many people does the accommodation sleep?
The Granary has 9 king size beds that can be turned to singles if required sleeping 18. There are also specific rooms in the granary that single bed can be added too, which becomes a total of 24 people that can sleep in the Granary. The wedding Village can sleep 24 however 26 when utilising downstairs sofa bed in the wagon house.
Can we have additional guests to the accommodation?
No, Quantock Lakes policy only allows the allocated people per room.
Is breakfast available?
If you are staying at the wedding village you can choose from a full cooked breakfast or there is a continental option. This will be served between 9am and 10am If you are staying at the granary you are very welcome to visit the onsite farm restaurant for your breakfast at an extra cost.
Is there Wi-Fi in the rooms?
Yes, there is Wi-Fi and the password will included in your welcome pack
Do you provide travel cots?
Yes we do provide travel cots but we do not provide the linen.
What time is check in?
Check in is from 4pm
What time is check out?
Check out time is 10.30am
Do you allow pets?
Yes we do allow well behaved dogs on site and they can stay at the accommodation. Please note there will be an additional charge for this.
Band Information For The Marquee
Band Access to the marquee is from around the back of marquee

The clear PVC sides of the Marquee can be opened on the day, however this is up to your wedding planners discretion and the weather will be taken into account
Bunting Measurements: You will need 7 lots of 14 meter lengths these will be fixed from the sides of the marquee, up into the apex and then back down again
Candles are permitted throughout the venue
Candles must be contained in glass vase's to contain the wax and the flame
The Starlit Sky above the dance floor in the marquee is included within your venue hire price
Anthracite carpet flooring is included in your venue hire in the Marquee
Quantock Barn is approximately 30 meters long x 10 meters wide, however you need to consider the bar and snug area within any measurements you may need.
